70's theme party
There’s absolutely NOTHING like a Seventies Theme Party and disco theme decor. Here’s one thing everybody who was alive during the 1970s can agree on. The entire decade still feels like it only happened yesterday. Seriously, how can the ’70s be forty years ago? It’s just not possible that the era ruled by bell bottom jeans and 8-track cassette tapes was nearly half a century ago. For those of us who lived through it, it will forever be a part of our souls. We survived that crazy kind of love groove.
Bring on the Seventies Theme Party decor
At the same time, bring back the things that, if you were alive during the 1970s, you probably still remember.
Gas Station Lines. Roller Disco parties. Disco music. Disco balls. Rotary telephones. Waiting to use the rotary telephone. Atari Video Consoles and the Bionic Man.
Sparkling platform disco shoes (perfect as table centerpieces).
Get your flower power on and groove through your next event with 70’s theme party decor that will redefine love and peace!
Disco Theme Decor
Get groovy with disco theme decor. Improvise your own dance styles and steps and go freestyle. Popular dance styles like the “Bump”, “Penguin”, “Boogaloo”, “Watergate” and the “Robot”. By October 1975 the Hustle reigned. It was highly stylized, almost sophisticated. Not to mention all its’ variations like the Brooklyn Hustle, New York Hustle and Latin Hustle.
And then of course, there’s the fashion. Disco-goers often wore glamorous, expensive and extravagant fashions for nights out at their local disco club. Sheer, flowing dresses, such as Halston dresses or huge, flared pants. Backless halter tops, disco pants, “hot pants” or body-hugging catsuits. These times were wild and free for sure. For the men, colorful shiny polyester shirts with patterns and super wide collars, preferably open at the chest. Maybe a large medallion thrown in as well. Pants with bell bottoms to allow freedom of movement.
