Event draping is one of the hardest-working details of event production. It works as dramatic decor. Draping guides guests in the right direction. In addition, it enhances a theme, hides irrelevant elements or spaces yet to be revealed.
We use event draping to dress up, divide or hide other areas of your event. Swagged over entrance doors using truss gives a dreamy yet stylish appearance for your guests when they arrive. For trade shows, drape can be used to divide booths. Pipe and drape suspended from ceiling mounting forms floor to ceiling masking of entire venue walls and ceiling.

pipe and drape rental fabric and hardware
The two main considerations when using pipe and drape are the method of support or hardware and the type or amount of fabric.
The hardware used for mounting from the ground consists of steel base plates, vertical pipes or “uprights”and horizontal pipes or “crossbars”. Al are fully adjustable and capable of holding light or heavy fabric.
There are a wide range of options for drape material. Sheers, for an elegant effect. Used alone or as an overlay. Or no opaque solids. For example, we sometimes use a black solid with a sheer arranged as an inner layer. Uplights used behind the inner, transparent layer make for a highly dramatic effect. Another interesting design idea is the use of swags.Pre made so that they loo best used over the top of an outer layer.
The fullness of the drape is critical. Full drapes add depth, richness and opacity. It also improves sound suppression. Fullness is achieved by gathering the drape along its width. The most common fullness is 50 per cent. That is, to say, for a 10 foot wide, 15 feet must be used. For sheers, 100 per cent fullness must be used to achieve richness.
Backdrop Drapes and stage drapes
Stage or backdrop drapes are often overlooked. Frequently, stage or wall presentation is not considered as a priority. When a stage is placed against a bare wall, it tends to get lost in the large area of wall behind it. Placing a simple drape backdrop behind a stage or on a bare wall makes a huge difference. It creates a focal point for the stage and masks backstage areas.
Thanks to an array of sturdy and flexible support hardware, drapery is a popular means to isolate stage areas and undesirable sections of a venue. We use drapery extensively in decorating entrances, stages, ceilings and walls. Drapery intensifies other décor such as props, furniture and backdrops.
ceiling drapes and swags
For ceiling drapes, we celebrate our events with long strips of multicolored drapery that serve as a tent over a carnival, dining room, or as an entrance.
Ceiling drapes are an elegant, easy solution to your event decor needs. It’s a simple way to create a stylish, upscale feel to your event.
Because of the heights and weights, fabric used for ceiling treatments is usually lightweight sheer or voile. The material is suspended from truss, piping or wires rigged from ceiling hanging points. Ceiling swags must be done before any other equipment or décor has been set up with no interfering objects such as chairs or tables.
We will work with you to design an arrangement to fit your events theme. With many kinds of fabric to choose from as well as colors we are sure to find a match to help complete your design.
The addition of ceiling drape to a room will help to solidify the look and feel of your event. But, it also serves a functional purpose as well. Ceiling drape can cover unsightly elements such as damaged ceilings and walls or any fixtures that can’t be removed. So don’t leave your ceilings bare. Complete your event decor with ceiling drapes. You won’t believe the magic we can create.
